Kanosuke is a premium Japanese whisky producer from Kagoshima, founded by the Komasa Jyozo Company, a family distiller with roots dating back to 1883. Crafted at the Kanosuke Distillery overlooking the East China Sea, Kanosuke whiskies are known for their elegant, modern style—featuring notes of honeyed malt, tropical fruit, vanilla, and gentle spice. Influenced by Japan’s warm climate and coastal setting, Kanosuke offers a smooth, refined profile that reflects both tradition and innovation in Japanese whisky-making.



“Mellow Land” is crafted using a combination of their three distinct pot stills and matured in re-charred American white oak ex-“Mellowed Kozuru” aged shochu casks. The whisky is carefully blended, with this key malt serving as the foundation before bottling.

Kanosuke Distillery is situated on the coast of Kagoshima, a location renowned for having the most beautiful sunset in Japan. The warm climate, combined with the Kanosuke team’s expertise in maturation, contributes to the creation of a richer, mellower Japanese whisky.

Nose: Ripened citrus fruit (Karin), honey, banana, lemon tea, caramel
Taste: A sunset-like flavour with ginger, honey, and lightly smoked nuts
Finish: Sweet aroma, mildly bitter with a long, gentle finis
