Laizhou Sherry Harmony

I had the opportunity to try Laizhou’s whisky portfolio late last year at Whisky Alement, and Sherry Harmony was my favourite.

This amazing whisky uses 10 different first-fill sherry casks, showcasing a spectrum of sherry styles from Amontillado to Oloroso, hence the name Sherry Harmony.

It was soo good I’ve added this bottle to our bar, and you need to try it!

-Laizhou Distillery is located in Qionglai, Chengdu, Sichuan—known as China’s “Millennia-old Liquor Town.” Covering 146,000 square meters, it has a planned annual capacity of 36,000 tons of spirits, representing 80% of China’s total whisky production. Titled the largest single malt whisky distillery and the most innovative distillery in China.

blending of ten distinctive sherry-style cask influences, it reveals intricate layers of dried fruits, roasted nuts, and subtle spice — an elegant balance where tradition
meets nuanced innovation.

Tasting Notes
Notes of licorice, honey, and herbs layer over a smooth, rounded sweetness. Hints of dark chocolate and dried fruits add richness, while an oily texture supports a full-bodied mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish.
