Sakurao is a Japanese whisky and spirits producer based in Hiroshima Prefecture, crafted by the historic Sakurao Brewery and Distillery, founded in 1918. Distilled and matured entirely in Japan, Sakurao whiskies reflect their coastal Seto Inland Sea climate, contributing to a refined yet expressive style. Typically elegant and well‑balanced, they offer flavours of orchard fruit, citrus, malt sweetness, vanilla, light spice, and gentle oak—showcasing modern Japanese craftsmanship rooted in regional character.


On the nose, Sakurao Sherry Cask reveals intoxicating notes of raisins and cocoa, inviting further sensory exploration. On the palate, you'll be carried away by an explosion of fruity and vinous flavors, with nuances of dark cherry and orange, enhanced by a hint of peat aroma. The finish gives way to a woody fragrance, accompanied by a deep, bittersweet aftertaste that lingers delicately on the palate.
